Feng shui and your choice of house plants

Feng shui and your choice of house plants

Some specific Feng Shui principles must be applied when adding outdoor plants

Although the choice of plant types  is subjective depending on your personal preference And what part of the world you live in.feng shui offer some specific direction
You may to consider when choosing plant intended for the exterior of your home.

Avoid plant with  sharp point and thorns. One of the basic principles of feng shui is to minimize sharp angles and points.when something's is pointed at you, your survival instinct kicks in and makes you feel defensive. The more defensive you feel, the less relaxed and comfortable you are.

The same concept applies to the type of plant you choose for indoor and outdoor environments. Plants with sharp spikes or thorns create subtle feelings of apprehension in people as they approach your house.if your goal is to create a home that feels welcoming and peaceful, it is important to eliminate any sharp or thorny plants growing in your yard, particularly the ones located near the main door.

Almost all plant have point at the end of their leaves called the drip tip.drip tips channel water off of leaves to keep them from rooting and they help direct water to the ground where it can be
absorbed by the roots.most plants have leaves with points at the end, but not all plant are sharply pointed or threatening because the shape of their leaves, for the most part, soft and rounded.
Example  of spiked plants include yuca flax, aloe Vera, cactus and holly. Softer plant include ficus boxwood, pittosporum and most flowering plants, feel free to use your own jugment when deciding whether or not a plant  feels sharp to you, and keep those plants away from
Your entrance or main door

For those living in desert climates, spiked or thorny plant are not your only choices.there are many succulents and other native plant that are softer  alternatives to the prickly cactus while still being drought tolerant. Example of these are the silver jade plant, Madagascar periwinkle, and kalanchoe.
